Deposits (net of local inter-bank placings) with Isle of Man offices of Isle of Man licensed deposit takers
Deposits increased by £0.27 billion (0.57%) to £47.28 billion between 31 December 2011 and 31 March 2012.
Deposits in the year to 31 March 2012 decreased by £0.85 billion (-1.77%) on the corresponding figure as at 31 March 2011.

Notes to Editors
1) “Deposits” include intra-group borrowing that is not capital in nature.
2) Foreign currency deposits comprise 35% of the above total. The figures at 31 March 2012 compared to those at 31 December 2011 are not considered to have been materially influenced by exchange rate movements.
