Being Regulated
FSC Regulated Activity handbooks
The Financial Supervision Commission aims to provide a framework of regulation and supervision within which licensed institutions can compete and develop their businesses.
The legislation and guidance seek to maintain high international standards and a clear, sound and stable framework, so as to provide a firm basis for the confidence of depositors and investors.
This area of the website contains all legislation, guidance and others matters that are relevant to all the Commission’s licenceholders. Legislation that was superseded in 2008 is also available (via a separate tab) for information purposes only.
Companies legislation requires the submission of specified documents to the Companies Registry periodically. Companies that are licensed by the Commission under the Financial Services Act 2008 should note that the requirements of companies law are separate from and additional to any requirements for submission of documents to the Commission under the Financial Services Act, the Collective Investment Schemes Act or linked secondary legislation such as the Financial Services Rule Book. As a result, licensed entities may need to provide similar documents or information to both Companies Registry and the Commission.
Legislation and guidance for licenceholders includes the legislation and guidance that is relevant to each class of licenceholder. In addition, the following matters apply to all licenceholders
